Common Thread

Okay, I'm noticing something- reading my blogs from the recent past...

I'm NEVER getting a good night's sleep. This is true. Since my children were born (9 years ago), I have not had more than a handful of full nights of sleep. To me, it's normal. Maybe to others it seems a bit odd, and possibly horrifying! Here's the deal; if I'm just waking up periodically through the night, it's much better than not being able to sleep due to excruciating headaches. It's like taking the lesser of two evils! (sound political??)

My run today was supposed to be normal. It wasn't an ez run, and not a workout...somewhere in-between. It felt pushed and harder than it should have at 8:13 pace. My legs are hinting that they're a bit tired. I think this is the point where my muscles are breaking down in order to recover and become stronger?? Well, with having a 12 mile run tomorrow; I hope those muscles can handle the miles!

I don't worry about the long distances. I especially like an early Sunday morning run- not having to worry about getting back at a certain time (it's Randy's only guaranteed day off of the week). I'm going to take it easy tomorrow and let my body decide the pace. I'll use the watch just to keep track of the miles- but otherwise; I want to have an enjoyable long run tomorrow morning!

Total for today: 4.2 miles @ 34:42

Thought for the day: Good luck to all the 10 mile runners today in Stillwater! GO TEAM RUN N FUN!
