Running fast is fun. It's quite exhilarating. Today was no exception. 5 miles around the lake one and a half times (about), and 8x100 strides (which were actually a welcome end to my run, as I pushed myself throughout the 5 miles). I did the 5 miles in a slightly uncomfortable (mostly because of the nasty humidity) pace. for 5 miles, the pace was 7:50/mile, at 39:18. I am sure I would have felt less uncomfortable with slightly lower humidity this morning (because it was like running in a rainforest).
The run was nice. I was happy to push myself a bit. If I never do that, I'll always be "just average".
10 am, the Frederic Library opens. I have to go there to pick up a book for my Australia course. That should be a fun little drive up north! Otherwise, I did not get to vacuuming yesterday, and still have to do that. I'd like to find a little time to go through my lesson plans that I will be using for my Electronic Portfolio, for Teacher Education. It's due at the end of my student teaching next spring, and there is SOOOOO much left to do! Such is my life!
Thought for the day: Why is the grass always greener on the other side? Are they using some kind of secret formula fertilizer??
